How does the self-heating POSIFORLID^® eye mask work?

The POSIFORLID^® eye mask creates a warm, moist environment for the eyes. Heat helps to clear (blocked) sebaceous glands because it softens the sebum. Heat and eyelid massage also help the meibomian glands to produce the fatty layer of the tear film. This fatty layer prevents the aqueous layer of the tear film from evaporating, so that the outermost cells of the cornea and conjunctiva do not dry out so quickly.
