What happens if my child or dog accidentally tears open the mask? Is the gel in the mask harmful?

No, the gel in the POSIFORLID^® eye mask is not harmful. It is composed of sodium acetate (a substance made from vinegar and baking soda) and water. Sodium acetate is also used as a flavour enhancer in certain foods, such as “Salt & Vinegar” chips. The mask is made of phthalate-free PVC.

However, you should take care that the gel in the mask is not accidentally swallowed by children or dogs. Therefore, keep the mask out of the reach of children.
